- Virtual Services
- Hot spots
- Saima needs testimonials from customers about the hot spot checkouts
- All hot spot information can be found on the training portal
- In the pilot phase, ending at the end of June, there is little promotion for the service
- Mary suggested to put a card in the case to promote other programs and services
- The title level hold is working well at Jungman for when they are all checked out
- Each branch's hot spots has their own title level record
- Online card registration
- There will be a drop down for customer to choose their library
- If the system does not work, putting in by hand with no form at this time
- Cards created in mobile circulation are not being given full privileges
- System-wide Orphan Books Log
- Going to create something, possible in Office 365, to track all items turned in from other library systems.
- Need to discuss with ILL to see if they have a system in place already
- How long do we keep the items before we send to ILL?
- Need to discuss with managers
- QLess Update
- Working well where piloted
- Need to get the approval from communications to get the website rolled out and go live
- Need to meet and discuss with passport locations to come up with some standards
- Need to see about putting boxes for customer to check that they have all that they need
- Online claims Returned Update
- Dominick is piloting at Jungman
- Once the claims returned item is put into WorkFlows, it takes one week for that record to be created; if you want to immediately claim it returned at multiple locations, you would have to enter it manually on the Intranet application
- It also does not automatically put it off of the list that the application generates when you find the item; it removes it from the Workflows list, but we need to manually go in and deactivate from the other list
- If we do not find the item, we would need to keep track of that somehow as well to deactivate it from the manual application list
- Coding Apps for iPad
- Jennifer discussed putting some apps for coding on our iPads
- Mary will discuss with Robin Cabrera
- Mary also brought up the possibility of using them with the Kindle Fires since they are cheaper
- TechLogic Wand
- Tested the wand at Stella Link
- It talks directly with Workflows for the most up to date circulation information
- The wand will change all items that have an RFID tag that is unlocked into a locked tag
- The wand will search for all in transit items, in processing, missing, checked out, etc.
- It will not check the items in on the spot
- Patrick will work on some training for the device
